She grounds her work in evidence-based therapeutic models, prioritizing non-pathologizing and person-centered ideologies. The follow are some examples of the models Anna works from:
DBT
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a therapy that focuses on teaching four core skills useful for all people to engage in a healthy relationship with self and others: mindfulness & acceptance, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
IFS
Internal Family Systems is an individual take on Family Systems. Just as in a family where each member takes on a different role, there are internal processes in each of us that result in parts of ourselves that develop into roles to manage and/or protect us. IFS helps people to access and heal their inner emotional world.
ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a mindfulness therapy that helps clients to accept their life as it is in the moment and the emotions that come with it. ACT supports a person to move towards living a meaningful life in alignment with their values.
Narrative
Narrative therapy helps clients to re-tell the stories they tell about themselves so they can see themselves with compassion and come into alignment with who and what they want to be.
